Welcome!
Civil Air Patrol (CAP) is the civilian auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force. CAP has over 240 members across six squadrons in Central New York.
We perform emergency services and disaster relief efforts as directed by the Air Force, we have a cadet program for youth 12-18 years old, and we promote aviation and aerospace education in the community.
The Central New York Group covers eight counties and 9,462 square miles. Our aircraft is a Cessna 182 with an airborne repeater, and we have HF and VHF radio capabilities across three mission bases.
